The Archivio Multimediale degli Attori Italiani (AMAtI) is an on-line computerized archive devoted to the Italian actors, dancers and singers who have practised the profession from the fifteenth to the twenty-first century. For every actor AMAtI offers a complete original and up-to-date profile, bibliography, list of sources, and a detailed selection of data on his/her career and single performances. Documents, images and multi-media material (video and audio), linked to the collected information, can be viewed in order to provide a more in-depth rundown on each actor. It is also possible to research single performances independently, how characters have been interpreted over time, as well as theatre companies and historical theatres.

Recent years have seen the publication of a great deal of the work of Ruggero Jacobbi, a legendary figure of Italian twentieth-century culture, thanks to a praiseworthy retrieval of unpublished material conserved in the «A. Bonsanti» contemporary archive of the Gabinetto «G.P. Vieusseux». However, despite so many new pages of poetry and translation, what was still lacking was the writer's voice. The voice which, thanks to the painstaking work of Eleonora Pancani, we can now read (if not hear), as with characteristic dexterity it intermingles verses and music, literature and theatre, politics and entertainment. Ruggero Jacobbi alla radio presents the transcription of several radio programmes of the 70s featuring the genial culture of this multi-faceted intellectual. Jacobbi entertains his audience, discorsing on literary history, the figurative arts and opera, quoting poetry, discussing plays, mingling observations on Goldoni, Pirandello, Bontempelli, Savinio, Pessoa and García Lorca in an engaging anecdotal style that involves the cinema, the theatre and literature, while the great figures of tradition and recent history are interwoven with reminiscences of private life.

Celle qui, le 5 juillet 1934, est reçue à la Comédie-Française à l'âge de 20 ans ne vient pas d'une famille ordinaire. Musiciens - son père est compositeur, sa mère harpiste -, comédiens, peintres : ne dit-on pas que les Casadesus possèdent le " gène de l'art " ? Gisèle Casadesus évoque ici son parcours au sein de la prestigieuse compagnie, qui la voit jouer sous la direction de metteurs en scène tels que Jacques Copeau ou Louis Jouvet, et en compagnie des meilleurs comédiens de son temps comme Pierre Fresnay, Madeleine Renaud, Jean-Louis Barrault... En 1937, elle crée le rôle principal d'Asmodée, pièce de François Mauriac, sous l'œil de l'auteur. Son récit nous mène au cœur du Théâtre-Français, mêlant anecdotes savoureuses, description du travail de comédien et narration des voyages en paquebot qu'entreprend la troupe, reçue triomphalement en Amérique. Elle retrace aussi sa carrière cinématographique entamée dès 1934 avec L'Aventurier de Marcel L'Herbier et poursuivie avec les plus grands : Raimu, Michel Simon, Jean Gabin... Ce livre est une traversée du siècle. Mais c'est surtout le passionnant témoignage d'une femme qui, malgré une carrière de premier plan, a réussi sa vie amoureuse - le couple heureux qu'elle a formé avec le comédien Lucien Pascal a duré... 72 ans! - et sa vie de mère de quatre enfants. Dernier " monstre sacré " du théâtre français, Gisèle Casadesus est d'une fine lucidité sur le " jeu de l'amour et du théâtre " qui a constitué toute sa vie, et qu'elle raconte avec beaucoup d'humour, de jeunesse et d'humanité.
